WEEK 7

Tournament Information:

The tournament will start at 10:00am and continue until 5:00pm. Each game will be scheduled for 90 minutes, except for the finals, which will play until completion. Games are to 15 (no win-by-two, except for the finals). Teams have one 70-second timeout per half plus one floater. If the game goes into universe (i.e. is tied 14-14), then each team has one timeout remaining, regardless of how many they had.

A soft cap will go on at 75 minutes after the start of the round. When you hear the whistle for this, finish the point you are playing, add two to the higher score, and play to that score. The soft cap does NOT affect timeouts.

A time cap will go on at 90 minutes after the start of the round. When you hear the horn for this, finish the point you are playing. If the game is not tied, the team with the higher score wins. If it is tied, play one more point, scoring team wins. Teams do NOT have any timeouts once the time cap is on.

As indicated above, the first three rounds of the tournament will be pool play and each team will receive a bye. To be determined by this season's records, the pools will be divided by seeding. After pool play, the teams who post the best record in each pool, or best point differential in the event of a three-way tie, will play for the championship. The two teams with the second best record or differential in each pool, will play for 3rd place.
